One year ago today we sprung our little one from the "joint."
So I woke up to this email this morning...
Hi, Lauren!
Well, I was talking to Poppy tonight, and he said, "Do you remember where we were a year ago?"
"Of course...getting Cupcake (edited)!"
So, Happy Anniversary!! It's been a good year for you.
BTW...the latest blog pics are really funny.
OK, sis, see ya soon...here's a pic from last year, me, Cupcake (edited), and chips.
All the best
--Uncle Joe
All I can say is the pic brought tears to my eyes. Just knowing how lucky I was to have my Mom, Poppy and Uncle Joe...
Thanks Joe for remembering- BIG HUGS!!!

Even though this is number #216, this is really my 232nd post. I guess I didn't number some 2+3+2 = 7. Seven was NEVER a lucky number for me until last year. On February 14, 2007 we became the parents of our daughter who was born in July (the 7th month) on the 2+5th and became a US citizen in 2007.What can I say...I can not believe it has been a year! Happily I can report to all PAP's the waiting and dissappointments during the process are not even archived. The highlights of our meeting our daughter, becoming her parents, and bringing her home are the memories of our process.Cupcake is now 2.5. She walks, talks, eats, and plays like all other children in her age group. After 6 months in EI we were dismissed after her exit exam. What is more fun than watching your child enjoying life to the fullest. Yes I still look and her eyes at times with a tear of confusion. I wonder how anyone could of deprived her of hugs and kisses for 16.5 months of her life & reality kicks me in the A** to remind me we all have a journey in life. Our journey to her and her journey to us has a place in our history but only our future together matters. To all of my special friends who we crossed paths in Moscow in Feb 2007...happy one year to you too.Today I remember I am so lucky we are home with our Little Cupcake who is getting so big, who has an opinion on what she wants to wear, who has an opinion on what activities to engage, and who decideds what friends she will play with. I love to watch her tantrums as she stumps her feet and demands a bubble bath, I find such cuteness when I hand her to Daddy for goodnight kisses and she snuggles in his chest as a ploy to avoid bedtime. Mostly I am so happy to wake up and share a bowl of Cheerios with my daughter (even if she drips milk out of her mouth and back in the bowl as she struggles with the spoon).Today as we left the house to get ready for Valentine's Day, BYE BYE from Cupcake<
